General Secretariat
Katharina Poiger Ruloff is the Secretary General of ETH Zurich since 1 October 2016.
The Secretary General is assigned to the Executive Board with the duties of a general staff position.
The Secretary General oversees the operations of the Executive Board and the meeting of the heads of departments; she coordinates ETH Zurich’s activities in the ETH Domain (ETH Board) and at external pageswissuniversities level. The ETH Zurich Legal Office is affiliated with the General Secretariat.

Secretariat
Together with the Secretary General, the Secretariat is responsible for the preparation and follow-up of the Executive Board meetings, the Department Heads' Conferences and the meetings of the University Executive Board and the Executive Board. Furthermore, the Secretariat supports the Secretary General in administrative matters and projects. In addition, the secretariat is updating the organisation database.

Registry and interim archive of the Executive Board
The registry and interim archive is responsible for registering incoming mail for the members of the Executive Board and the interim archiving of documents according to Article 151 of the Financial Regulations of ETH Zurich or respectively the relevant regulations.
Organisational Development
The area of responsibility includes the management and coordination of various cross-divisional organizational development projects for the attention of the Executive Board or individual Executive Board members.
